Edwin F. Buckley

Born in Florida, Edwin F. Buckley grew up on Long Island, and is the father of three grown children. Ed has an undergraduate degree in History from Rhode Island College, and went on to a career in the military. While serving as a career soldier, he received a graduate degree in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University. After retiring from the Army, he did contract work for the government, and ultimately, for a very short period of time, worked in a senior management position with the federal government. A lifelong Republican, Ed saw the party becoming one of acquiescence, rather than one which held to its beliefs. This point of view only strengthened when he worked on a campaign, in a state other than Massachusetts, which his candidate won, and saw what was essentially a Democratic administration come into office. Seeing, on the federal level, what Republicans are doing, and knowing some in rather powerful positions within the Republican Party who are living representations of just what a RINO happens to be, Ed finally severed ties with them and joined the Conservative Party.
