Ryan M. Cahill

Ryan Cahill was born in Marietta, Georgia, but went to school in Orlando, Florida. Cahill moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to finish his last two years of High School, and has called it home ever since. After ten months of employment with the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, Cahill graduated High School and immediately volunteered to join the U.S. Marine Corps, Marine Corps Infantry and obtained the primary military occupational specialty as a Rifleman.

Cahill has deployed twice with the Marine Corps, and has been to various countries to include: Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Djibouti, Germany, Sicily, and Spain. During Cahill's first deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was injured by shrapnel from a roadside bomb during combat operations, and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. Cahill was able to deploy with his Marine Corps unit for a second time in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During his service, Cahill received three meritorious promotions for displaying an excellent level of proficiency and dedication in various job assignments. After his first year of service, Cahill was awarded the title "Marine of the Quarter" from a field of over 1,000 piers.

As a creative problem solver, Cahill was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for re-organizing and establishing accountability and serviceability for an entire Infantry Company's Armory which was valued at over 1.2 million dollars. During Cahill's third year of service, he originated and managed an organizational system which kept accountability of over 15 military vehicles, 300 communication devices, and over 650 armory objects, collectively valued at over 6.2 million dollars.

While on Active Duty, Cahill spent his personal time to complete his
Bachelors of Arts degree in Management from the American Military
University. He is currently participating in Graduate Studies in Law and
Public Policy at Regent University, Robertson School of Government. In
2008, Cahill received specialized training from CRA Incorporated, and
graduated from the Anti-Terrorism Officer, Level II Course.

He is a member of the Golden Key International Honors Society for his academic achievements, and has been awarded the following during his service in the Marine Corps: the Purple Heart Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, (2) Iraq Campaign Medals, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

Ryan Cahill has strong family values and is married to Brittany Cahill of Baton Rouge; together they raise their son Owen. Cahill is dedicated to lifelong learning and actively mentors Marines to strive for personal and professional success.
