Dale Dodd

Dale Dodd grew up in a conservative-republican family in the history rich Mid-Hudson Valley area of New York State. He moved to California during his high school years and briefly attending San Jose City College in 1971, studying engineering. Dale chose to enlist in the US Army in 1971. He worked in Satellite Communication and Space Systems over a twenty year enlisted career, retiring in 1992. During his tours of duty in the Army he saw many cultures and social systems. Living within 300 yards of the Berlin Wall and observing totalitarian social democracy at its best, more firmly planted the heart of freedom in his being. During six years of service ensuring a free Berlin and its people, Dale’ understanding of freedoms values grew.

His values self-reliance, responsibility and liberty; the of promises equal opportunity (not equal outcome), so all citizens can share in its wealth. On June 12, 1987, he happened by chance to be visiting West Berlin and attended President Reagan’ Brandenburg Gate Speech and like Mr. Reagan, can also state“: Ich hab noch einen Koffer in Berlin. [I still have a suitcase in Berlin.]”.

Dale is married to a Berliner and has two wonderful daughters, the oldest serves in the Air Force and the younger is married with two children. Dale holds ASSCET, BSEET, BSTET, and MBA degrees. He works in the electronics and Space Systems environment and currently serves as Secretary of the Conservative Party (California).
