Marriage, one man, one woman.

The side of the debate on marriage by liberals invariably centers on “rights.” The Conservative rebuttal is to revert the debate to the natural law, because natural law trumps civil rights. Don’t let this point unsettle you because it is the same reasoning that placed attention to it by our Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. They understood the natural law.

Natural law demonstrates that male and female were created for one another for the procreation and education of offspring. Mankind has understood the societal magnitude of the coupling of a male and a female, and over time gave it definition and protection; marriage. However, bear in mind, the underlying natural law conditions to marriage are sex, procreation, and education of offspring.

This understanding of the natural law regarding procreation has a recorded historical basis of thousands of years. The Judea Christian biblical reference often used about procreation has to do with Zechariah and his childless wife, Elizabeth (Luke 1:5-25). In the times of Zechariah, a Jew who had no children could be removed from the temple (God). Childlessness has always been grounds for divorce. Actually divorce is a less accurate term for a lack of procreation in marriage. The better term is annulment, because the natural law prescribes that “marriage” not open to procreation, is no marriage.

Therefore, without procreative sex, homosexual marriage is a nullity, a void, because the sexual attraction, a condition to which we admit exists, can never procreate because the natural law made no physical provision for it.

Summary Points
1. The natural order attracts male and female into procreative sex.
2. Society found this to be good and protects the procreative union, which replaces society numerically.
3. Homosexual unions are a procreative nullity, which reduces society numerically.

Do you remember the 60’s song about Alfie, the lyrics of which begin, “What’s it all about, Alfie? What’s it all about when you sort it out, Alfie? The Christmas holiday season in the United States generally inspires one’s thoughts to that question, “What’s it all about?” I say it’s about the mystery of something greater than us. It provokes that thought today, and it did at the time of the Founding Fathers of this nation.

.” The Declaration of Independence makes four explicit references to our nation’s reliance on God.

“…the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.”

“ all men are …endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights…”

“ to the Supreme Judge of the world…”

“ with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence.”

Yet, God has been removed from public life by a few who argue that God intrudes upon their “rights” not to believe. The author, R. L.Bruckberger, who lived the French resistance of World War II, and came to love and adore America, wrote:

“Without this foundation in God, Creator, Providence, and Judge, everything – the political order, the fundamental rights, men’s equality with one another, and ultimately all political justice – crumbles.”

It is unfortunate that the lofty character that our Founding Fathers designed for this country is being eroded by what one theologian (John Paul II) described as “The eclipse of the sense of God in our society.”

The Conservative Party seeks to recapture and re-establish the Founders Fathers’ principles in order to return our Government to a healthy, constructive, and Constitutional condition for its citizens. I believe that prayer is a useful exercise to be added to our work ahead. So, I leave you with a few words from the Christopher Prayer for Government.”

Inspire us, O God, with such a deep love of country

that we will be actively concerned for its welfare as well as that

of our fellow countrymen for this time and for eternity.

May God bless America?

And a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a Prosperous 2010 New Year,

Sam Gallo, Chairman

God has blessed me in ways I would never have thought possible. He has provided gifts that I never knew I wanted or needed. I am very thankful for all these things, of course.

As I write this, I find myself being most thankful for family and friends who now reach from California through Arizona, to Texas, up to Kansas, across to Illinois, down to Louisiana, up to Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, down through North Carolina and then to Florida.

I wish for all of you the celebration of your thankfulness for God’s blessings in your own circle of family and friends.

We have known each other only a short time, but the things we share, our Conservative political beliefs and love for our Nation, make all of us the kinds of friends we cherish for a lifetime.

In 2003, one of the blessings I enjoyed most was spending some time in our mother country, England. I lived in a village just outside Canterbury called Petham. As Thanksgiving rolled around and I began talking about my turkey and dressing, those poor people had no idea what I meant. I decided to show them.

I prepared a typical Southern American Thanksgiving Feast and invited seven of my closest British friends. We had the traditional turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, pecan and pumpkin pie and a big glass of iced tea.

We sat around the table with them asking questions about why we celebrate the holiday with this or that and for many of their questions I had no answer except, “we’ve always done it that way in my family.”

The one answer they all seem to remember most is why we have the feast in the first place. I smiled and told them that the Pilgrims who had come from England seeking religious and personal freedoms had wanted to celebrate the bounty of goodness from God to honor the wonderful land He had provided. “So we are thankful that we are not British living under a crown and a state sponsored church,” I told them.

We all still talk about that evening that we shared our thanks with and for each other. They were very impressed with our tradition. Everyone shared the things they were most thankful for. One terrific person said that he was glad America had split from England so that I could eventually show them what good Southern cooking is all about.

What I have come to call my British Thanksgiving brought a whole new meaning of this holiday into my life with the warmth of the true meaning of the holiday now forever in my memory.

As you celebrate your own family traditions on Thanksgiving Day, I wish you the same warmth of companionship with friends as you acknowledge the blessings of God in your own lives.

God bless you………. And God bless America!

We need leaders to help grow the Conservative Party. Our state is large with over 4 million people and multiple cities throughout. Many Louisiana citizens do not know that a Conservative Party exists in Louisiana, and unless they do a specific internet search for us, they are likely to never hear about us. In order for the Conservative Party to have a sturdy foundation, we need leaders to take the challenge of spreading conservatism within their communities, cities, parishes, and party regions. Please contact me if you are ready to take action and commit to a better future.
