			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Affirmative Action has been construed way beyond JFK’s original intent in 1961, and it now divides America more than it unites.  Candidates for jobs should be based on Merit not race.  Affirmative Action as we now have in America supports racial differences when selecting employees.  Martin Luther King Jr. did not want to get a job solely because he was a black American.  He wanted to get a job and have a chance at the American Dream based on his merits and personal character.  Colin Powell talked about Affirmative Action in his book <em>My American Journey, </em>and stated “if affirmative action means programs that provide equal opportunity, then I am all for it.  If it leads to preferential treatment or helps those who no longer need help, I am opposed.  I benefited from equal opportunity and affirmative action in the Army, but I was not shown preference.  The Army, as a matter of fairness, made sure that performance would be the only measure of advancement.  Affirmative action in the best sense promotes equal consideration, not reverse discrimination.  Discrimination ‘for’ one group means, inevitably, discrimination ‘against’ another; and all discrimination is offensive.” (1995, p. 608).  The current Affirmative Action laws are reverse discrimination and they need to be changed.  We need to make laws punishing segregationist, not laws inhibiting another form of discrimination.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I just heard that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has decided not to put her atrocious health care catastrophe on the Internet for the people to read before there is a vote taken.</p>
<p>She doesn’t think we are smart enough to know what it says?  She thinks we wouldn’t be willing to at least scan read through the well over 2000 pages?  Does she really think that she can sneak this by without so much as a ‘by your leave’ from the American people?</p>
<p>What is this woman’s problem?!<span id="more-181"></span></p>
<p>Where was she today when over 20,000 (no exact count was made that I have been able to find) of my fellow patriots were yelling at the tops of their lungs just outside the Capitol?  Didn’t she hear “KILL THE BILL!  KILL THE BILL!”</p>
<p>What makes her think she’ll be reelected?  Why is she so hateful to the American people – her employers!  What kind of leadership is she portraying to college students who are interested in a political career of their own?</p>
<p>I guess I will have to give up pineapples entirely.  I refuse to buy anything that has a label for a company she has anything at all to do with.  That includes DOLE pineapple.</p>
<p>Darn it all, Nancy.  Now just look what you’ve done!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Three children have nine cupcakes.  Nine divided by three equals three.  Each child will have three cupcakes.</p>
<p>Equal distribution works every time, right?</p>
<p>Pretend two of the children are selfish.  They each want to have the most cupcakes so the two selfish children each steal a cupcake from the other child.  Now there are two children who have four cupcakes each and one totally unhappy child.<span id="more-175"></span></p>
<p>It is usually at about this point that the fight begins.  Somehow, all nine cupcakes end up in crumbs all over the floor. Now all three children are crying.  Mom suddenly appears with a single cupcake for each child and the tears are slowly replaced by smiles.</p>
<p>Many people look at a “third political party” much the same way as the two selfish children.  Pardon my bluntness – how childish!</p>
<p>America is blessed with a wonderful Constitution.  That Constitution provides for Freedom of Choice.  What happens if all of the choices are not what you would select?  You come up with an alternate plan, right?  So here we are… the alternate plan.  This party is new but the ideas that founded it are not.</p>
<p>Conservatism has always been around.  We just haven’t had a really Conservative candidate to vote for the last several years.  How is Obama’s “<strong>hope and change</strong>” administration working out for American?  Well, in fact, it isn’t.  He is making havoc of our Constitution and selling America down the river.  Because of his “<strong>hope</strong>” that we don’t send HIM down the river with all the liberals we unseat in 2010 and “<strong>change</strong>” him into a real “never-was,” more and more Conservatives are popping up everywhere.</p>
<p>There are a few Democrats in America who believe in strictly interpreting the Constitution.  They are pro-life and individually against “big government.”  There is just so much pressure from the DNC for them to “tow the Party line” so they end up voting with the other Dems.  They aren’t happy about having to do it, but there you have it.</p>
<p>I personally know many Republicans who are some of the most Conservative people you would ever find.  One of them is my Congressman.  He was the only political speaker at our Tax Day Tea Party.  He gave a brilliant speech saying at one point that he expected a letter from the RNC telling him to support the Party more.  He answered the question he left in the air by saying, “I will support the Republican Party as long as it is a Conservative issue.”</p>
<p>This is where I reveal to you who the “third party” is.  If you haven’t guessed already – The Libertarians.  In the last several elections on the local, state and national levels their numbers have increased along with their voting strength.  Still, there are people who will tell you, “I am Libertarian, but…”</p>
<p>What most voters in America want are political candidates to vote FOR – not against.  They want candidates who believe in the same values they do.  In the political arena values translates to “platform.”  With that in mind, I present to you the “alternate plan.”  This is the Conservative Party in the United   States of America.  The <a href="http://www.conservativepartyusa.com/CPUSA-Natl-PDF-PDF.pdf">platform</a>, or tenets,  is simple and easy to understand. Here it is as edited by this writer who just happens to be one of the least known “mouths of the South!”  (But I’m working on it.)</p>
<ul>
<li>Government works best at the local level.</li>
<li>America is a country of a distinguished founding, historical experiences, and a unique path to the future.</li>
<li>Government cannot legislate a perfect life for its citizens.</li>
<li>Citizens have a contract with the past, the present, and the future to:<br />
a.    Preserve the best of our ancestors and change only that which leads to a better civil and social existence.<br />
b.    Voluntarily assist those less prosperous.<br />
c.    Conserve natural resources for our posterity</li>
<li>Government actions should pertain to fair and just competition.</li>
<li>The Federal government has reduced the citizen’s responsibility in life by overextending its participation in education, economics, food, and housing.</li>
<li>Spending of citizens’ ethically and legally earned money and consuming our posterities’ resources are not signs of a virtuous political organization.</li>
<li>The primary benefits of charity are ascribed to the voluntary donor and the recipients of material goods from a central authority show no gratitude.</li>
<li>Those who believe that redistribution of wealth is an entitlement will themselves cause detriment to their posterity due to a lack of restraint much like consumerists believe our natural resources are purely for present consumption.</li>
</ul>
<p>Each of our 50 states is different; therefore, each state has its own website information.  This will give a member of the party one place to go for the platform rather than the National Party Website as well as the State Party Website.  It is true that there is a Conservative Party in the United States of America website with no state affiliation.  The reason for this is explained perfectly in the Party Pamphlet:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px"><em>The national Conservative Party beliefs reside in the principals of Educate, Advise, Select and Elect (E.A.S.E).</em></p>
<p><em> </em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px"><em>The purpose is to educate and advise so the that (sic) candidates may be selected and elected to enact laws within “the limits and boundaries of Government as framed by the Founding Fathers…”</em></p>
<p><em> </em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px"><em>Elected officials are individuals that legislate local issues. An issue in one state may not be an issue in a distant state. Therefore, the Conservative Party believes it unwise for it to author original planks, but rather, endorse and support those arising from the states that meet the standard of the national platform and defeat those that do not.</em></p>
<p>Naturally, things will not happen as rapidly as anyone would like.  The Conservative Party may not have at least one candidate on every local ballot in time for the next election.  It becomes a certainty if the Conservative citizens of America continue to sit idly by as the Republican Party continues its move to center-right and sometimes center-left and the Democratic Party continues its rapid movement to extreme left.</p>
<p>Conservatives love America and voice it as no other single group of people.  Are you using your voice to its full potential?  Is it time for you to run for a seat on the City Council in your City?  Alderman? Coroner? Mayor? Sheriff?  Perhaps in your city a Conservative candidate needs an army behind him.</p>
<p>Seek out other Conservative voters in your district and see if you don’t have that army already that you never noticed before.  You may find that your friends and neighbors have been looking for a truly solid Conservative candidate to vote for.</p>
<p>My father, a good old country man from Arkansas, was fond of saying as we sat together in his flat-bottom aluminum fishing boat for hours on end without even a nibble, “Somebody’s got to catch one, and it may as well be you.”</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Americans are given the right of free speech in the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States – the first of the Bill of Rights without which the Constitution might not have been ratified.</p>
<p>Sarah Palin uses her First Amendment rights to speak up against causes for which she has knowledge, wisdom and experience.  The sad part is that she has to rely on an Internet social network, <a href="http://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin#/sarahpalin?v=app_2347471856">Facebook</a>,  to express her First Amendment rights.  This platform is the only way she has of getting her words, thoughts and ideas to the general public.  It is a given that if it doesn’t involve someone maligning Sarah Palin, nothing she says will be covered by the ONP – Obama National Press.<span id="more-161"></span></p>
<p>There are remarkable precedents for using a writer’s platform to exhibit First Amendment rights.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.earlyamerica.com/earlyamerica/milestones/commonsense/text.html">Exhibit One:</a></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px"><em>PERHAPS the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favor; a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defence of custom. But tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason. </em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px"><em>As a long and violent abuse of power is generally the means of calling the right of it in question, (and in matters too which might never have been thought of, had not the sufferers been aggravated into the inquiry,) and as the king of England hath undertaken in his own right, to support the parliament in what he calls theirs, and as the good people of this country are grievously oppressed by the combination, they have an undoubted privilege to inquire into the pretensions of both, and equally to reject the usurpations of either. </em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px"><em>In the following sheets, the author hath studiously avoided every thing which is personal among ourselves. <p style="padding-left: 330px"><em>THE AUTHOR. </em></p>
<p>Do you recognize these words?  Thomas Paine wrote this introduction to Common Sense.  Mr. Paine didn’t have the benefit of the First Amendment at the time he published his writing; therefore, he was not “at liberty” to even sign his name to his work.  Thank goodness for this writing as well as the others which led to our First Amendment rights giving Sarah Palin the right to sign her writings today.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/index.htm">Exhibit Two:</a></p>
<p><em>“When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature&#8217;s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”</em></p>
<p><em> </em></p>
<p>This, the first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence, set in motion the circumstances which eventually provided our First Amendment rights.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/09/09/politics/fromtheroad/entry4433206.shtml">Exhibit Three:</a></p>
<p>“But you know you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”</p>
<p>This line is from a speech given by candidate Barack Obama.  One of his many gaffs, this one was made in response to….you guessed it – Sarah Palin.  In her <a href="http://elections.nytimes.com/2008/president/conventions/videos/transcripts/20080903_PALIN_SPEECH.html">acceptance speech</a> at the Republican National Convention where she was officially nominated the vice-presidential candidate, she made this remark:  “I love those hockey moms. You know, they say the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick.”</p>
<p>Former Massachusetts Governor <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/09/09/politics/fromtheroad/entry4433206.shtml">Jane Swift</a> isn’t alone in her opinion that Obama’s remarks were intended to refer to Mrs. Palin as a pig.  Asked why she assumed that Obama was comparing Palin to a pig, Swift referred to Palin’s “pit bull in lipstick” joke at the convention.</p>
<p>&#8220;As far as I know she is the only candidate that wears lipstick&#8221; and this &#8220;seems like a very gendered remark.&#8221;</p>
<p>In an excellent <a href="http://thepostnemail.wordpress.com/2009/10/07/editorial-oct-7-2009-%E2%80%94-endemic-corruption-and-what-to-do-about-it/">editorial</a>, John Charlton wrote:</p>
<p>“This is the logic invoked by the American Grand Jury Movement, most of whose critics ignore these more fundamentals (sic) laws and rights. However, to be consistent with the theory of Pre-constitutionalism, such institutions should in no way submit to constitutional institutions, nor are they requireed (sic) to do so, since the authority which empowers them is superior to the Constitution; and the rights which they exercise to act to uphold it are likewise prior and superior to all constitutional powers and obligations.”</p>
<p>If you are not familiar with the work of the <a href="http://americangrandjury.org/">American Grand Jury</a>, I urge you to check out their web site.   The Jurors are duly sworn before a Notary Public and are responsible for hearing evidence.  After considering the evidence a vote is taken and if they have found merit in the charges they offer a Presentment which states the charges considered and their findings.</p>
<p>On May 9, 2009, the American Grand Jury, following the requirements of <a href="http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html#Article5">Article Five</a> of the Constitution heard evidence and handed down an <a href="http://americangrandjury.org/american-grand-jury-hands-down-indictment-of-fraud-and-treason-against-obama">indictment</a> of Fraud and Treason against Barack Obama.</p>
<p>American Grand Jury has hosted and concluded 15 Grand Juries to date, including regional Grand Juries for Illinois, Arkansas and Texas.  The majority of national Grand Juries hosted included members from as many as 40 States. With each Sitting, the number of Grand Jury members has increased and represent a broader cross section of the United States. Two of the most recent and largest Grand Juries were called &#8220;Super&#8221; juries with membership of 173 and 266 respectively.  The Super Jury II concluded on October 7th. The Presentments and evidence handed down by this super jury will be available to the public within the next 3 to 4 days.</p>
<p>The Presentment from the Second Sitting can be downloaded <a href="http://bobcampbell.me/public/">here</a>.   You as a citizen of the United States have the responsibility of making a crime known to the authorities in your city and to State officials, and you can do that by making copies of the Presentment and serving them (just as a process server would do) to your county Sheriff, Circuit or Superior Court Clerk or Judge, or even to your Senators and House of Representative members on the State and Federal level.</p>
<p>There is nothing at stake here except your First Amendment rights and indeed the entire Constitution of the United States of America.</p>
<p>I urge you, my pit bull friends, to put on your lipstick and speak out against this fraud that has been perpetrated on our nation and the American people.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is not my intention to make judgments as to the truth or falsehood of the policy or intention of my subject; or to equate the present administration with the wisdom or ignorance of the past.  I think it is important that we all understand the root of why so many of us are frightened by the suggestion of changing America from the Democratic Republic we have been blessed to live in for our entire lives or that legal immigrants made a choice to live in for the rest of theirs.  You must clearly understand that these are my personal opinions and I represent no other person, group or organization as I write this.  You also need to know that I am not now, nor have I ever been a member of any political party.<br />

<p>I remember studying in high school the basics of what is referred to as “The McCarthy Era”.  As I grew older and read more for myself, I saw that it went much deeper than we had been taught.  The pity is that even as little as I was taught in my high school days, the students of today are probably taught even less, and they are most certainly taught from a different viewpoint.</p>
<p>Chances are if you stood on a crowded street in any city in America and shouted at the top of your lungs, “Duck and Cover!” you would see every American above the age of 50 immediately stop in their tracks and look up toward the sky to see which direction they needed to move.  If you have no clue what I’m talking about please either do your own internet search on the phrase “duck and cover” or trust mine.</p>
<p><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck_and_cover">Wikipedia.org</a> has a very good write up about this time in our lives.  They also publish a fairly extensive reference list at the end of the article.  You’ll also see the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck_and_Cover_(film)">Civil Defense Film</a> we watched in elementary school at least once a month.</p>
<p>This wasn’t something anyone took lightly.  We were taught that at any minute we could be attacked by a Communist country who wanted nothing more than to destroy America, our Constitution and the belief system we call freedom.  All young children knew who Bert was and knew how to respond when they heard his name.</p>
<p>We were convinced of this threat that we knew would come one day, and it is my belief now that it would indeed have come if some of our country’s leaders during that time and since had not worked through international policy to dissuade it.</p>
<p>As I see the reports coming from Washington and everywhere else these days, I want to put that idea back into practice:  I want to Duck and Cover.  Don’t misunderstand me.  I’m not saying that I want to bury my head in the sand until this time passes.  I honestly believe I need to duck and cover for protection.</p>
<p>There are too many changes coming to America because of the current administration elected by a nation who, in my opinion, acted in a very rash and uninformed manner by electing this administration.  Our Democracy is being replaced by Socialism bordering on pure Communism and it frightens many of us because we have lived long enough to see the differences in our Democratic society when compared to the Communistic societies of the former USSR and China.</p>
<p>I see happening to my country now what I read in the newspaper my dad used to teach me reading skills by “letting” me read to him each night as well as the television news he made me watch almost every night.  I remember hearing him lecture anyone who would listen and even some who wouldn’t the merits and faults of McCarthyism.</p>
<p>Briefly, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCarthyism">McCarthyism</a> was the politically motivated accusations of disloyalty or treason without evidence.  It gets its name from U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy (R-WI).  The broader definition of today carries this idea beyond the scope of its original definition by using it now to describe any effort to verbally attack the character or patriotism of political adversaries.  In my opinion today’s definition should not hold as much water as it does.  If it means that I am a McCarthyite because I view this administration as Communistic in nature, I accept the title.</p>
<p>For the record, I don’t believe in accusing anyone of Communistic traits without proof as Senator McCarthy did.  He made public speeches and presided over Senate-based hearings attacking what he called the Hollywood blacklist which had been associated with the hearings by the House Committee on Un-American Activities.  It was also widely held that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) under Director J. Edgar Hoover was working in conjunction with Senator McCarthy because of its anti-communist activities.</p>
<p>The school of thought is that McCarthyism actually began long before Senator McCarthy became involved.  They point to the years of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Red_Scare">First Red Scare </a>(1917-20) led by Communism’s recognition as a political force.  Fired by the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_Party_USA">success</a> of organizing labor unions and an early opposition to fascism, the <a href="http://www.cpusa.org/">Communist Party of the United States </a>(CPUSA) grew to a peak of approximately 75,000 members in 1940-41.</p>
<p>At the end of World War II, The Cold War sparked the issue of espionage and the results which led eventually to the Civil Defense and its campaign led by Bert the Turtle.  As efforts of espionage grew, so did the attempts to defend those providing espionage information to the United States Government and the FBI including <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igor_Gouzenko">Igor Gouzenko </a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Bentley">Elizabeth Bentley</a>,  and the prosecution of those accused of spying on the United States including <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Fuchs">Klaus Fuchs </a>and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_and_Ethel_Rosenberg">Julius and Ethel Rosenberg</a>.</p>
<p>Thinking of the policies of the U.S. President as socialism or Communism is not at odds with our current views of the administration.  In the 1930s many conservatives pointed to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt">President Franklin D. Roosevelt</a>’s <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Deal">New Deal </a>policies as proof that the American government had been heavily influenced by Communistic ideals.</p>
<p>Partly to counter the growing criticism from conservatives, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_S._Truman">President Harry Truman</a> issued a program of “loyalty reviews” for federal employees in 1947.  This policy was designed by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Edgar_Hoover">J. Edgar Hoover</a>.  President Truman’s <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Order_9835">Executive Order 9835 </a>mandated dismissal if there were “reasonable grounds” to believe the person was involved in any actions considered disloyal to the Government of the United States and gave the FBI the charge to perform the background investigations of federal employees.  This is where the FBI and J. Edgar Hoover really gained strength.</p>

<p>President Truman’s loyalty review program was strengthened and extended by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwight_D._Eisenhower">President Dwight Eisenhower </a>in 1953.  His Chairman of the Civil Service Commission Loyalty Review board, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiram_Bingham_III">Hiram Bingham</a>, referred to the new rules as “just not the American way of doing things.”</p>
<p>J. Edgar Hoover’s influence also grew beyond the loyalty-security programs.  The FBI, in secret, operated the “<a href="http://www.writing.upenn.edu/~afilreis/50s/hoover.html">Responsibilities Program</a>” distributing documents containing what they called “evidence of communist affiliations” against American citizens including teachers and lawyers with the firing of many of these by their employers.  My belief is that this Responsibilities Program evolved into <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COINTELPRO">Cointelpro</a>, an acronym for Counter Intelligence Program.</p>
<p>Cointelpro remained in operation until 1971 and included planting forged documents to give the impression that a person was an FBI informer, spreading rumors in anonymous letters, leaking information to the press, etc.</p>
<p>Now here we are in 2009 being referred to as McCarthyites by some of those who think we’ve “gone off the deep end”.  Because we take the time to read most if not all of the over 1000 page document that is known as HB3200 (H.R. 3200 to some because it will be passed as a resolution rather than be fully accepted by both Houses) and recognize the Socialism embedded there as a direct threat to our Democratic Republic, we are maligned and considered liars, alarmists and my personal favorite “right-wing extremists”.</p>
<p>We’re in good company in our belief that this is NOT the health care reform America needs.  Enter Sarah Palin.  Sitting at her computer as her spare time allows pounding out truths to and for the American people, she has single-handedly taken on the push of the administration to force Socialism in the form of Socialized Health Care down our throats.</p>
<p>Using her knowledge and wisdom to point to the exact problems conservatives have with this reform bill, she has used her <a href="http://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin#/sarahpalin?v=app_2347471856&amp;viewas=0">Facebook</a> page to fight for what she believes in and what those of us who agree with her support.  For those who have wondered why she uses a computer-based format for these statements the reason is simple.  She wrote an Op-Ed piece and was accused of not actually being the author.  Sarah Palin’s Facebook page belongs to Sarah Palin!  No one can falsely accuse her of not actually being the writer.</p>
<p>It seems many people are paying attention to her, thank goodness. The “followers” to her Facebook page have climbed to almost 824,000 with over <a href="http://pagedata.insidefacebook.com/page/view/353291/">100,000 </a> joining her supporters in the last 31 days. That equates to approximately 3225 followers a day. This at a time when the <a href="http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll">Rasmussen Report </a>shows that 27% of the nation&#8217;s voters strongly approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President while forty-one percent (41%) strongly disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14.  These figures mark the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.</p>
<p>Many of the Democrats who are pushing this change are too young to remember the fear we all felt from being forced to lose our freedoms in favor of a Socialistic, Communistic government.  Sarah Palin is even too young to know how to follow Bert’s lead to duck and cover.  However, she is a reader and a person of strong values.  She has also read the 1000 page proposal and is able to see the roadblocks to a free society it presents.  And she is a conservative.</p>
<p>We need and respect her voice as she speaks for us loudly and clearly where the rest of us couldn’t be given the voice.  Thank you, Governor Palin, for doing what you always do – showing support and speaking out for the American people who DO remember how to duck and cover as well as for those who can’t grasp that concept.</p>
