Reality is Lost on our Politicians

Published December 2nd, 2009 in 912 Candidates, Chris Lewis For Congress, Editorials, Political Thoughts | No Comments »

The reality of the regular American is lost on our politicians.   While on the never ending campaign trail, politicians continue to say that they understand what the working person goes through.  However, a closer look at their budgets say otherwise.  Here are some of the staff salaries of the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi:

These amounts are paid QUARTERLY!

Brendan Daly, Communications Director:  $43,125.00

Joseph Onek, Senior Counsel to the Speaker:  $43,125.00

Wyndee R. Parker, Senior Policy Advisor:  $43,125.00

Reva B. Price, Policy Advisor:  $23,780.00

Ellen S. Qualls, Sr Adv for Strategic Planning:  $42,127.08

John K. Brennan, Special Assistant:  $31,385.01

Diane Dewhirst, Senior Advisor:  $28,500.00

Nadeem Elshami, Deputy Communications Director:  $37,692.75

Bridget C. Fallon, Director of Protocol:  $30,770.51

Jerry Hartz, Dir. of Floor Operations:  $41,305.76

Jamie E. Lizarraga, Dir. Mem. Serv/Sr. Ad.:  $40,962.50

Melinda L. Medlin, Director of Scheduling:  $36,000.01

Catlin W. O’Neal, Deputy Floor Assistant:  $30,273.75

Cheryl P. Rose, Dir. of Intergov’t Affairs:  $38,793.75

Jonothan Stivers, Senior Advisor:  $31,091.99

Charles R. Wooters II, Director:  $34,499.99

These are just the names and salaries of just some of Mrs. Pelosi’s staff, and remember, these salaries are paid every quarter.  How can our politicians say they understand what the people go through when they have staffs that have so much redundancy and such high budgets.  The problem is the system and the republicans are just as much to blame as the Democrats.  Now is the time for a change, by the people, and for the people.  When regular Americans run for office, then we will truly have politicians who understand the people.

Signatures for the 2010 Maryland Ballot

Published November 14th, 2009 in 912 Candidates, Chris Lewis For Congress, Political Thoughts | No Comments »

In order for the Conservative Party to make it onto the ballot for the 2010 elections, we need 10,000 signatures from registered Maryland voters.  We have more than several volunteers throughout the state in the process of collecting those signatures now.  It may seem like a lot, however, it is certainly well within our reach.  Here is the link that any registered Maryland voter can go to in order to download the form:

Just print out the form, fill it out and mail it to:

It is time for the citizens of Maryland and the United States to challenge the power structure of the corrupt two party system.  In election after election we hear what candidates from both parties will do once elected and in most cases once in the seat, they vote along party lines and not with their constituency.  We must hold politicians accountable for their votes and we must choose candidates that will represent the people, not their own self interest.  The tea parties, town hall meetings and the marches on D.C.  are just the beginning.

America is great because of the people, not the government.  Make sure your voice is heard and lets vote out all incumbents and restore our freedoms and liberties.  The time of the Conservative Party is now.  Patriotically correct, not politically correct…………
