Maryland Platform
*Representation: Our politicians must represent the people and not their own self-interests. Too many currently reside in D.C. who continually attack U.S. citizens for merely speaking their minds and beliefs in thsi great country. It is time to begin sending people to office who will fight for the people and something greater than themselves.
*The Constitution must be put back into the forefront. All pieces of legislation must have the question asked, is this Constitutional? he eroding of the Constitution must be stopped.
*The Economy: Free enterprise, limited taxation and the end of intrusive government regulation are important for the revitalization of Maryland’s economy. The FairTax is a great option, not only t help the economy, but to give more power to the individual and less to all forms of government.
*We believe in LEGAL Immigration is important part for our society, however, illegal immigration drives wages down and is a big reason for our crime rate.
*We believe Marriage is between one man and one woman and the definition of marriage should not be changed for any one group.
*Energy is extremely important and we must be able to use our own energy resources here in Maryland and the United States. A state or nation cannot survive while denying itself its own resources. Cap and trade is nothing more than a tax on citizens that will dramatically hurt the economy and cause energy prices to artificially skyiocket.
*Healthcare reform: We do not believe in a government takeover of healthcare. instead, allow citizens to purchase insurance across state lines and open up true free market competition. Tort reform must be enacted to stop frivolous lawsuits and bring the cost of malpractice insurance down. Lastly, state and federal government must stop with the insurance madates and allow citizens to pick and choose what type of coverage they want.
*Those who commit acts of war against the United States must be tried in military tribunals. We must not allow terrorists or any enemy be allowed to state their case in civilian courts where they will be granted the Constitutional rights only meant for U.S. citizens.
