What We Believe
“All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” – Thomas Jefferson
“It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds” … Samuel Adams
The time has come for true Conservatives and like-minded Independents to secede from their respective parties and join the Conservative Party of the United States.
The Conservative Party was created to rectify the consistent failures and corruption of the current two-party system. CPUSA will impose fiscal discipline, restrain the reach of the federal government as outlined in the Constitution and retain America’s traditional family values.
The Republican Party has consistently failed to uphold conservative principles on so many levels after Ronald Reagan’s 2-terms as President. This is even true for Virginia Republicans. It’s also clear that the current two-party system has failed based on our spiraling state and national debt, Trillion dollar budget deficits, increased illegal immigration, ever-weakening dollar and escalating specter of socialism.
The Conservative Party USA and the Conservative Party (Virginia) rectify these deficiencies because we will be a hard check and balance on this corrupt, mutually complicit two-party debacle.
There are Five Key Reasons why conservatives must leave the GOP if genuine conservatism is to survive in America. Based on recent legislative and political Republican failures in Congress, it’s clear you should be aware of them.
The Mission of the Conservative Party (Virginia)
The Mission of the Conservative Party is to promote and protect individual rights and freedoms set forth in the U.S. Constitution and to limit the scope of government to the authority set forth therein. The Party will preserve the core principles on which this nation was founded as described in the founding documents of the United States.
To accomplish its Mission, the Conservative Party provides true conservatives a strong political support base that empowers them to formulate genuine conservative agendas and to articulate those views to the American people without reservation. The Party then creates the political environment that will encourage its members to run for elected office in the Virginia State Legislature and the U.S. Congress.
- Promote and protect individual rights and freedoms set forth in the U.S./State Constitution
- Limit the scope of the Federal and State government’s authority to those powers as set forth in the US Constitution and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Curb the reckless spending as set forth therein.
- The Conservative Party will preserve the core principles described in the founding documents of the United States.
- Support the Freedom of Religion Clause in the US Constitution. The United States of America was founded on the foundation of Judeo-Christian principles. Inasmuch, the Conservative Party (Virginia) is an ardent supporter of the 1st Amendment right to the Freedom of Religion. We believe that it is counterproductive for the government and churches to push the agenda for one another. However, we strongly believe that the government oversteps its bounds when it bans religious traditions to be displayed on government property, or any display of a religious belief be banned by public agencies, departments, or the like. We strongly believe that religious traditions do not need to be avoided. We believe in the notion of accommodation.
- Support Life. Since the United States Supreme Court decided the landmark Roe V. Wade case on January 23, 1973, nearly 50 Million babies have been murdered. The Conservative Party (Virginia) is committed to maintaining the reversal in the trend of declining abortion rates. Wherever possible, the Conservative Party (Virginia) will back candidates who share our belief. We back legislation minimizing abortions and are in favor of a reversal of Roe V. Wade and subsequent cases favoring abortion.
- We are in favor of judges who follow the Constitution. There has been a trend over the past 80 years to legislate from the bench. Justices and Judges should not use their authority and position to decide a particular case based upon a political position or based upon foreign law. Justices and Judges are chosen to be impartial and non-political. As Hamilton wrote in Federalist #78, “It proves incontestably, that the judiciary is beyond comparison the weakest of the three departments of power…”. It goes on to state, “…that as liberty can have nothing to fear from the judiciary alone, but would have every thing to fear from its union with either of the other departments.” The judiciary may not have formed a union with either of the other branches, but it has given to itself the power to legislate.
- Provide true conservatives a strong political support base that empowers them to stop the corruption of the current two-party system, formulate a genuine conservative agenda and articulate those views to the American people without reservation. This creates the political environment that will encourage its members to run for elected office in their Localities, the Virginia General Assembly and the U.S. Congress.
- Unite various Conservative groups throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and the nation creating a strong, coordinated alliance to promote Conservatism and build an effective political base.
It’s time to “Come Home America”.
The Conservative Party supports and promotes these concepts:
- The Sovereignty of the United States
- State’s Rights as outlined in the U.S. Constitution
- Fiscal Responsibility and Limited Taxation
- Personal Rights and Responsibilities
- American Manufacturing and ”Made in USA” Products/Services
- Fair and Free Market Solutions
